Adam Lichtenstein is a non-linear Avid and Final Cut Pro film editor of feature films, documentaries, television, and commercials.
Lichtenstein's film editing credits include: SCOTLAND, Pa, OXYGEN, MERCY, MEXICO CITY, SCRAPPLE, ORIGIN OF THE SPECIES, ROAD, CITY OF THIEVES, I'LL TAKE YOU THERE (additional editing), and documentaries that include, REPORT FROM GROUND ZERO: The Story of the Rescue Efforts at The World Trade Center and THE STAIRCASE, for Academy Award-winning director Jean-Xavier de Lestrade & Denis Poncet and ABC News. Lichtenstein was the pilot editor of MTV's "The Hills" and has carried it through three highly-rated seasons. A documentary Lichtenstein edited for HBO about the great 1970's character actor John Cazale (I KNEW IT WAS YOU) will be completed in the new year.
Other highlights... Lichtenstein was a member of the editorial teams that produced The Beatles' Grammy Award-winning "Free as a Bird" music video and Barbara Kopple's Academy Award-winning documentary AMERICAN DREAM. Lichtenstein edited the Spike Lee-directed PAVAROTTI & FRIENDS WAR CHILD CONCERT. As a commercial editor Lichtenstein handles campaigns for BellSouth, Lucent, Pepsi, Bayer, Volvo, Philips, Kodak and IBM. Big name broadcast stuff for big name agencies and directors. He's done a few hundred of these.
An invited instructor to the Rockport Film Workshops, Lichtenstein has been a participating editor at the Sundance June Filmmakers Lab, a teaching advisor at Alan Oxman's Edit Center, and a workshop leader at Ron Demaio's Student Television Arts Company (STAC), a unique high school program for gifted students of the performing arts.
